The Hurley Convergence Center is a one-of-a-kind building at UMW—an “academic commons” where a variety of technology, information, and teaching resources come together in an environment that is modern, energetic, and vibrant.
Some things that all students, faculty, and staff can do at the Convergence Center:
- Check out photography, video, and audio equipment, laptops, and more, at the Info Desk
- Reserve a conference room for group meetings and studying, or just to sit and watch the fire
- Host an event in the Digital Auditorium
- Record a video in front of the green screen in the Charnoff Production Studio
- Record a song or voiceover track, and edit audio and video projects in the Multimedia Editing Lab
- Get help from student consultants with speaking, writing, subject tutoring, study and organizational skills, or digital projects
- Solve your computer problems at the IT Help Desk
- View digital and analog exhibitions in the Convergence Gallery
