The Hurley Convergence Center is a one-of-a-kind building at UMW—an “academic commons” where a variety of technology, information, and teaching resources come together in an environment that is modern, energetic, and vibrant.
Some things that all students, faculty, and staff can do at the Convergence Center:
- Check out photo, video, and audio equipment, game consoles, laptops, and more, at the Info Desk
- Reserve a conference room for group meetings and studying, or just to sit and watch the fire
- Host an event in the Digital Auditorium
- Record a video in front of the green screen in the Charnoff Production Studio
- Record a song or voiceover track, and edit audio and video projects in the Multimedia Editing Lab
- Edit photos and graphics using the Adobe Creative Suite in the Training Lab
- Get help from student consultants with Speaking, Writing, or Digital projects
- Solve your computer problems at the IT Help Desk
- View digital and analog exhibitions in the Convergence Gallery
