Simpson Library is the main library for the University and an excellent place to study, to work with class groups and teams, and to get friendly professional assistance with research for all kinds of assignments. We also serve UMW faculty and staff and are open to the public.

Our collections include 500,000 volumes in the social sciences, humanities, and sciences; more than 100,000 electronic books; millions of articles from magazines, newspapers, and scholarly journals; popular reading books; maps; and Federal and Virginia government documents.

Simpson Library connects to the Convergence Center at the third floor of the HCC and the second floor of the Library. The Digital Gallery, Digital Archiving Lab, and HCC Library Desk are located at the connection.
